The Master in Finance and Taxation is an advanced training program aimed at developing high professional skills and qualifications in the fields of finance and taxation. Its general objective is to train and update professionals whose activity is developed in the business context. Given the strong demands imposed on these professionals, the volatility of the markets and the increase in the complexity of tax legislation that directly affects the daily life of companies, this master's degree will allow the development of generic and specific skills in professionals, making them more capable of performing its functions. Therefore, the course, in addition to finance and taxation subjects, also includes aspects of accounting, statistical methods, research methodologies and data science.
Competences
The course aims to provide robust theoretical and technical training in different areas related to finance and taxation, in a business context, favoring an integrated vision. At the end of the course, students are expected to have developed the following skills and competences:
- Mastery of recent theoretical developments and make a critical analysis of the main themes of finance and taxation;
- Knowledge of research methodologies and information processing in finance and taxation that allow them to develop original applied research;
- Ability to create solutions to problems in the following areas: financial and tax management, financial and tax consultancy, investment portfolio management and financial risk management;
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary contexts, marked by contextual dynamics;
- Domain of computer tools for processing financial information to facilitate decision making.
