Organic Strusture
ISLA - Polytechnic Institute of Management and Technology (ISLA-IPGT) has two Academic Units, designated as Higher Schools, and one Research Unit, in accordance with its responsibilities.

The organization and operation of the Academic Units and other central services are governed by their own regulations.
ISLA-IPGT Governing Bodies
According to its Statutes, the governing bodies of ISLA-IPGT are:
- The President;
- The Administrator;
- The General Council.
President
The President is the highest governing and external representative body of ISLA-IPGT. They are appointed by the Founding Entity and serve a three-year term, which can be renewed for equal periods. The President is responsible for leading the institution’s development strategy, guiding its educational and scientific activities.

Administrator
The Administrator is responsible for ensuring the connection between the Founding Entity and the governing bodies of ISLA-IPGT. They are assisted by a Delegate of Administration, appointed by the Administrator, who exercises delegated powers for a four-year term.
General Council
The General Council is the governing body responsible for coordinating the scientific, educational, and research activities of the academic units. It brings together the activities and decisions of the respective Technical-Scientific and Pedagogical Councils, as well as the Scientific Council of the Research Center.

Academic and Research Units
The academic units and the research unit are designated as Higher Schools and Research Center, respectively.
Within these Higher Schools, there may also be functional units such as departments that group together courses with similar scientific and pedagogical interests.
The governing bodies of the Higher Schools and the Research Center are:
- Director of the Higher School;
- Technical-Scientific Council of the Teaching Schools;
- Pedagogical Council;
- Course Director, when not included in a department;
- Director of the Research Center;
- Technical-Scientific Council of the Research Center.
School of Management
The teaching units, called Higher Schools, enjoy scientific and pedagogical autonomy within the scope of their respective competences, under the terms of the law and ISLA-IPGT statutes.

Research Centre
The Research Centre is a permanent organic unit whose purpose is to develop research in the different areas of knowledge, acting as an organizational structure of coordination and support to the research projects developed in the unit.
