A commitment to sustainability

ISLA believes that sustainability is more than a goal—it is an ongoing commitment to the present and the future.

As an institution of higher education, it has a responsibility to educate citizens who are aware, critical, and committed to a more just and sustainable world. As such, it seeks to integrate sustainability into all areas of the institution, promoting a culture of shared responsibility and conscious action, seeking to be transversal in all its dimensions—environmental, social, and economic.

This led to the ISLA More Sustainable More Responsible commitment, which seeks to develop all these dimensions, relating them to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with the aim of promoting a more conscious, participatory academic community focused on building a better future. In this sense, ISLA has sought to align its strategy with this commitment, defining sustainability as one of the values that define the institution.
