    The main objective of the course is to go through the major problems of Corporate Finance, formulating the most important issues arising from the financial activity of a corporation, that is, the concepts, methods and decision tools which serve as a basis for financial analysis and decision-making in the company, namely investment and financing decisions. The program is developed according to the perspective of the value of the company. It is adopted as a basic paradigm of maximizing the value of the company for its shareholders or owners. All financial issues are therefore analysed in terms of their potential to create value for the company.

  • MetodologiaMethodology
    The pedagogical method of the discipline consists in the combination of theoretically grounded teaching with the critical analysis of the problems of financial decision making and the study of real cases illustrative of each problem. Students are required to have a direct intervention in the discussion of theoretical problems and their practical implications. In addition, the organization of the class in groups is promoted for the resolution (and presentation) of several case studies.
