In this sense, the main objectives are the perception of the time value of money using the concepts of present and future value and the application of some concepts of financial mathematics in the study of some financing and investment instruments.

    At the end of the course students should have developed the following competencies: Determine the current and future value of one or a set of capitals; Calculate interest in the simple and compound system; Understand the relationships between different interest rates; Identify and analyze annuities and perpetuities; Develop plans for repayment of a loan.
