ApresentaçãoPresentationThe course module "Data Analysis Tools" aims to equip students with fundamental skills in the manipulation, exploration and interpretation of data, combining knowledge of descriptive statistics and digital tools, with a particular focus on Microsoft Excel and Power BI Scope and Field of Application This course module falls within the field of data analysis and processing, with applications across various disciplines, such as management, economics, engineering, social sciences and health. The knowledge acquired will be essential for data-driven decision-making and for solving quantitative problems in different professional contexts. (Areas of Intervention) Students will learn to: Apply descriptive statistics to data analysis Use Excel to process and visualise information; Create basic regression models and interpret results; Build pivot tables and dashboards to support decision-making.

ProgramaProgramme1. Descriptive statistics Measures of central tendency and dispersion, graphical representation of data, simple linear regression and confidence intervals. 2. Excel for data analysis Basic functions and statistical functions, filters, sorting, lookup and reference functions, and creating custom charts. 3. ETL and data preparation The concept of ETL, data processing and structuring, integration of data sources and preparation for analysis. 4. Power BI, pivot tables and dashboards Introduction to Power BI, data modelling, creating pivot tables, data segmentation, custom calculations, DAX measures and building interactive dashboards.
