    To provide knowledge in the area of project management. Designing, modifying, or finalizing projects most effectively and efficiently in diverse dimensions. To develop project planning and structuring using the main tools to support project development, the WBS - Work Breakdown Structure, activity networks (Scheduling), and project monitoring and control techniques, with MS-Project support and dashboard presentation. Promote knowledge acquisition of the PMBok framework, with special emphasis on edition 6 of the guide, providing a cumulative approach with edition 7, giving a general context of the 12 principles and 8 areas of action.  To introduce students to the concepts of Information Systems Management and the respective development of projects in this area, with special emphasis on Management Information Systems and Database Management Systems.

    To provide students with knowledge in the area of project management with a special focus on the PMBOK methodology (editions 6 and 7). Understand the Phases of the Project Management Process: Students should be able to identify and describe the different phases of a project's life cycle, from initiation to closure. Develop Planning and Organisational Skills: Students should learn how to create detailed project plans, including the definition of objectives, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Use Project Management Tools and Techniques: Students should be able to apply specific methodologies and tools, such as the Gantt chart, SWOT analysis, and the critical path method (CPM), to manage projects effectively. Preparation and presentation of project data in Gantt charts and dashboards, using MS Project software.
