Server Operating Systems - Open Source Platform

Computer Networks and Systems
  • ApresentaçãoPresentation
OpenSource Operating Systems are fundamentally the basis of systems that support the WEB and Cloud support computational networks. While most desktop machines and similar devices run on Windows, it's the back office where Linux has the domain. This Curricular unit aims to pass on the necessary knowledge for the installation and handling of such systems with the following detail: Define and characterize open source software; Define and characterize the constituent parts of an open source operating system; Describe the historical evolution of an open source operating system; Distinguish between versions and distributions; Install and configure an open source operating system; Install and configure multiple core services on an open source operating system. Install and configure services that communicate with proprietary operating systems. Install and configure devices and device drivers on an open source operating system.
