    This curricular unit covers the installation and configuration of the network server 'Windows Server' operating system. It allows identifying, installing, and configuring services and features, and managing them according to the requirements imposed by such a server. It also makes it possible to install and add client machines to the domain.

Schedule tasks automatically using scripts appropriate to the system environment. Know and manipulate network support tools and utilities. Explore the technologies for implementing the functionality of this architecture. Install the server operating system. Install and distinguish resident and installable device drivers. Configure the server operating system. Optimize the operating system. Back up and learn about failure protection systems. Define and parameterize users. Perform resource management. Characterize, install, and configure the DHCP service. Characterize, install, and configure the DNS service. Characterize, install, and configure data routing services. Characterize, install, and configure web page servers.
