Workplace Safety and Health Management System

  This Curricular Unit aims to provide an integrated and modern view of management practices in the area of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in organizations, through the implementation of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).
• ProgramaProgramme

  Legal and normative framework, as well as their evolution over time; Implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001: 2018): Study of the essential requirements in the implementation of an OSH Management System; Correspondence of the standard with other management references. The process of continuous improvement of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System; Preparing and responding to emergency situations in an organization: Requirements and regulations; Principles and strategies of fire safety; Emergency planning and management.
• ObjectivosObjectives

  Proceed with the legal and normative framework for OHS management in organizations, through the implementation of a Occupational Health and Safety management system; Know the various requirements of the ISO 45001: 2018 standard for the implementation of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System in the organization; Characterize the integrating elements of the management systems and the corresponding correspondences of the standard with other normative references; Know the needs associated with the preparation and response to emergency situations, and their inclusion in the scope of the Occupational Health and Safety management system; Proceed with the emergency legislative framework and identify the necessary resources foremergency intervention; Know and apply knowledge about the typology of prevention and emergency plans.
