Between 12 and 15 May, ISLA Gaia hosted the Creative Industries BIP, an initiative that brought together students from different countries to explore the creative industries and develop team-based projects. Throughout the programme, participants worked on challenges related to sustainable design, social responsibility, heritage, sustainable tourism, well-being and quality of life. Based on these themes, they developed creative proposals, exchanged ideas and applied different skills in the development of solutions presented at the end of the programme. The final session took place at Convento Corpus Christi, in Vila Nova de Gaia, where the groups presented their videos and defended their proposals before an invited jury. More than an academic exercise, this initiative allowed students to engage with new realities, work in an international context and understand how creativity can contribute to addressing concrete societal challenges.
