Objetivos de Desenvoltimento Sustentável (ODS)
ISLA Gaia professors Nuno J. P. Rodrigues and Carlos Miguel Oliveira have published two scientific articles in Scopus-indexed journals, with institutional affiliation to ISLA Gaia.

The first article, entitled Challenges in Human Resource Management for Millennial and Generation Z Cohorts: Difficulties in Talent Recruitment and Retention—Application to the Tourism and Hospitality Sector, analyses the impact of the Millennial and Generation Z cohorts on human resource management in the tourism and hospitality sector. The study highlights factors such as work–life balance expectations and career development opportunities, proposing adapted strategies — including personalised recruitment approaches and continuous training — to reduce turnover and attract young talent.

The second article, E-Leadership Competencies and Organizational Preference for Telework: Evidence from the Portuguese Context, examines the relationship between e-leadership competencies and organisational preference for telework in Portugal. The findings emphasise the relevance of the SEC model in adapting leadership practices to the digital context and in fostering effective leadership.
