ISLA Gaia Professors to Coordinate Mini Track at ECIE 2026

Objetivos de Desenvoltimento Sustentável (ODS)
Participation reinforces the institution’s positioning in research on innovation and entrepreneurship.

ISLA Gaia will be represented at the 21st European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ECIE 2026), which will take place at ISCTE-IUL, in Lisbon, by professors Marco Lamas and Carlos Miguel Oliveira, who will coordinate the Mini Track entitled “Entrepreneurial Ecosystems and the Role of Education in Fostering Sustainable Startup Growth”, in collaboration with Paul Coyle, Director of the Entrepreneurial Mindset Network.

This participation strengthens ISLA Gaia’s positioning in research focused on innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable development. The Mini Track aims to promote an in-depth discussion on the relationship between entrepreneurial ecosystems and education, analyzing how higher education institutions, incubators, industry and policymakers can foster sustainable startup growth.

Submissions to the Mini Track begin with the submission of a 300-word abstract, to be submitted by 25 February 2026, inviting researchers and professionals to present studies, models and innovative practices that integrate education, ecosystems and sustainability.

Further information and submissions are available through the European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
