ISLA Gaia’s participation in the Gaia Half Marathon served not only to promote physical activity and team spirit, but also as a charitable initiative with a social impact.
As part of this participation, funds were raised and subsequently donated to the Portuguese League Against Cancer. Although symbolic, this contribution represents an important step in strengthening the bond between ISLA Gaia and the community, serving as a starting point for future collaborations with the League.
The institution thus aims to continue initiatives that combine sporting activity with social responsibility. For ISLA Gaia, this type of action reinforces its mission of holistic education, promoting values such as active citizenship, solidarity and social commitment. For students, participation in these initiatives provides a concrete opportunity to raise awareness of relevant causes, encouraging greater civic awareness and involvement in projects with a positive impact on society.
