Students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Communication and the Professional Higher Technical Course in Sound and Image took part in study visits to Batalha – Cinema Centre, within the scope of the curricular units of Communication Theory and Critical Thinking, taught by Professor Mariana Müller. During the visit, students had the opportunity to learn about the structure of the venue, its operation, and the history of the building that houses Batalha, a landmark for cinema in the city of Porto. They were also able to visit the two cinema theatres, the exhibition spaces and the projection room, as well as ask questions and interact with the institution’s professionals. The aim of the visit was to strengthen the connection between the academic content taught and professional practice, while bringing students closer to public cultural institutions.
