An Experience Revealing the Backstage of One of the City’s Most Relevant Cultural Stages.
Students from the Digital Communication degree and the Professional Higher Technical Course in Tourism, Hospitality and Catering Management took part in a study visit to the backstage areas of the Porto Municipal Theatre – Rivoli, within the scope of the course units Communication Theory and Critical Thinking.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore the internal structure of the theatre and gain a deeper understanding of its day-to-day operation, clarifying questions directly with the professionals working on site. The initiative also included a dialogue session with members of the communication team of the Porto Municipal Theatre – Rivoli, providing a practical perspective on the management, communication and operation of a reference cultural venue.
This experience strengthened the connection between academic content and professional practice, enhancing learning through direct contact with the cultural sector.
