Workshops, science, citizenship, and inclusion marked an unforgettable day for the young participants.
On 31 July, ISLA Gaia warmly welcomed a group of young people from the "Gaia Férias +" programme, offering them an educational and dynamic experience that blended knowledge, citizenship, and inspiration.
Throughout the day, participants took part in a variety of activities:

Financial Literacy Workshop, covering essential concepts for responsible money management.

Violence Prevention and Self-defence, a session promoted by the police, focusing on preventing violence and risky behaviour, and including a self-defence demonstration that drew strong interest and participation.

Journey to the Stars, an inspiring talk by an astronaut, who shared her journey, challenges, and dreams, showing how science, curiosity, and perseverance can take us beyond our limits.

ColorADD Workshop, introducing an innovative colour identification system for people with colour blindness, promoting accessibility and inclusion in daily life.
This initiative reinforces ISLA Gaia mission to open its doors to the community, fostering access to knowledge, active citizenship, and personal development from an early age. The event was also an excellent opportunity to showcase the institution to new audiences and highlight its commitment to education and local development.
