On September 17, ISLA Gaia held its New Student Welcome event, an initiative dedicated to students beginning their academic journey at the institution this year.
The program took place in two sessions, tailored to the daytime and after-work schedules. In the afternoon, daytime students attended a welcome session in the auditorium, followed by a guided tour of the facilities and fun integration activities. Early in the evening, it was the turn of the after-work students.
The welcome session served to introduce the institution and provide useful information for the start of the academic year. At the end of the session, the new students also enjoyed a performance by "Os Cucos," ISLA Gaia's long-standing academic musical group.
Throughout the sessions, new students had the opportunity to get to know ISLA Gaia better—including its services and the people who will support them during their academic journey—and to clarify key questions regarding the start of classes.
The Welcome Day also facilitated initial connections among students from different programs, faculty members, and ISLA Gaia staff, creating an opportunity designed to ease their arrival at the institution and their integration into the academic community. As another academic year begins, ISLA Gaia welcomes all new students and wishes them an excellent academic journey.
