ApresentaçãoPresentation
The School Library currently plays a leading and decisive role in schools in supporting Teaching-Learning and the educational process in several areas: in the development of literacy, information skills, and cultural and social awareness. The evolution of Information and Communication Technologies and the growing importance given to information and its value as an essential resource for the construction of knowledge, gives school libraries new functions, requiring qualified professionals. In this context, this postgraduate course aims to equip teacher librarians and their teams with the tools and knowledge necessary for the organization, technical processing, management and planning of School Library services, in order to meet the demands of today's schools. Only in this way can School Libraries become indispensable partners in the education of children and young people, effectively contributing to their academic and educational success.
