ObjectivosObjectivesThe student should be able to: Know the different types of markets and the balances to be generated in them, and understand the relationships among the variables that affect the decisions of companies and consumers. Understand the quantity and price-setting systems in a given market. Identify the structural contexts of the different companies and the behaviours to be assumed based on their characteristics. To know the primary economic aggregates, their implications in the day-to-day and the methods as they are calculated; To know the interaction between the different agents of the economy; Use the macroeconomic concepts studied in decision-making situations. To know the interaction between the real side and the monetary side of the economy, as well as the policies used to act in certain situations.

MetodologiaMethodologyStudents should acquire and/or develop skills to understand the dimensions and implications of decision-making in companies, as well as the effects of changes in key macroeconomic indicators and in fiscal and monetary policies. The following teaching and learning methodologies will be used to acquire these skills: Lectures, for the presentation of theoretical frameworks and procedures associated with the techniques and models used; Participatory and active, using simulators to validate decision-making processes. Self-study related to the student's independent work and the production of individual or group work.

Será utilizada uma avaliação que integrará dois instrumentos de avaliação:
- 1º Teste de avaliação - Microeconomia - 50% - 26 de março de 2026
- 2ª Teste de avaliação - Macroeconomia - 50%; - 18 de maio de 2026 (TD), 19 de maio de 2026 (TD)
A nota mínima em cada teste é de 7 valores; a média final deve ser igual a 10 valores.
Avaliação Final - Todos os alunos terão direito a um exame final a realizar durante a época de avaliação.
Observações: - Não serão realizadas provas orais nesta Unidade Curricular.
