    The CU integrates the area of HRM, exploring the main areas of intervention of the HR function in organizations. The content focuses on fundamental practices, from recruitment to strategic management of remuneration and human capital, linking the conceptual framework with practical application. In this way, students will be equipped with the essential skills to understand and intervene in people management in contemporary organizational contexts, with a focus on micro and small businesses.

    Students should be able to distinguish between HRM and ER and understand the contribution of this area to organizations (LO1); Identify and apply concepts related to key practices - recruitment and selection, job description and analysis, training and development, and performance evaluation (LO2); analyze the components that make up a compensation system, distinguishing between remuneration and compensation and understanding the main costs associated with the cost of an employee to an organization (LO3); understand the principles of human capital management (LO4); identify the main contemporary challenges of HRM (LO5).

  • MetodologiaMethodology
    The CU was designed with the integration of active learning methodologies in mind, including, where relevant, the use of digital tools. The methodologies used aim to encourage active participation, critical thinking, and the development of students' ability to translate theory into practice. To this end, methodologies such as case-based learning, questionnaires, gamification, active and student-centered learning (using brainstorming, sharing real cases, storytelling, among others) were used and, finally, promoting a culture of continuous feedback and formative assessment.
