ApresentaçãoPresentationThe occurrence of occupational accidents has a high technical and economic impact for companies and society. The analysis and investigation of these accidents is an duty legally attributed to those involved in the area of occupational risks. This curricular unit pretends to ensure the necessary training on this skill, allowing the technician to be equipped with the tools needed to perform tasks and methods in the scenario of the occurrence of an accident at work.

ObjectivosObjectivesThe curricular unit has the core objective of preparing the students to identify the main causes that have given rise to work accidents, as well the legal framework existent on the area. It is also intended that the students know how to build an effective prevention strategy to prevent the occurrence of accidents. For this, will be resorting to the use of best practices, tools, models and accident investigation methods. Train and inform workers on the subject of work accidents is also one of the priority goals of learning in this unit. In short, this unit aims to provide a basic framework for understanding and analysis of multiple causes of work accidents, as well as the preparation of plans for preventing accidents at work and occupational diseases.
