ApresentaçãoPresentationThis course unit aims to prepare students for the utilization of psychosociological approach in to the work organizations and working contexts, providing them with some theoretical frameworks and tools to: 1. Understand the characteristics, at individual and group level, that influencing the different processes and organizational results, and the quality of working life; 2. Realize the importance of the psychosocial work environment and the need to foster motivation and job satisfaction; 3. Conceive the existence of factors and psychosocial risks that influence organizational dynamics of work and working conditions.

ObjectivosObjectivesSkills - To promote knowledge and basic skills to apply theoretical and conceptual terms and researches in the field of work psychosociology, in particular as regards its implications for the area of Health and Safety at Work. - To provide skills to enable the construction of an integrative and functional perspective of the work concept, and interventions that promote excellence and quality of life at work. - Provide technical expertise for proper management of the exposure to psychosocial risks in work contexts.

MetodologiaMethodologyThe expository method is used to transmit knowledge bases but, mainly, the interrogative, active and demonstrative method is used for a critical analysis of the shared content and an effective application of the principles of managing psychosocial working conditions and assessing psychosocial risks in the area of safety and health at work. Case studies are used to illustrate content and the preparation of a practical work to activate students in the learning process and allow the testing of concrete approaches and instruments.

AvaliaçãoEvaluation
A avaliação contínua durante a parte letiva do semestre considera três componentes:
- Teste de avaliação (45%)
- Trabalho aplicado (45%)
- Participação (10%)
Os estudantes que não atingirem nota mínima nos elementos de avaliação ou que não atinjam uma nota
final agregada igual ou superior a 9,5 valores, passam para exame.
