    The general objectives of this course unit are: - To understand the Portuguese quality system; - To understand quality tools; - To understand the implementation and certification process of a quality management system; - To understand methodologies for implementing a quality management system; - To acquire knowledge about the importance of Integrated Management Systems.

    Theoretical and theoretical-practical classes for the exposition of the subject matter (expository and interrogative method) with presentations and discussions by the students (active and participatory method). Presentation of practical examples through dynamic images and group work. Presentation of case studies, demonstrations, public presentations by speakers with experience in some of the programmed content.
