Video Editing and Post-Production I
Sound and Image
-
ApresentaçãoPresentationThis curricular unit introduces students to the principles of video editing and audiovisual post-production, exploring editing as a fundamental tool for narrative construction and audiovisual expression. Through the organisation, selection and manipulation of image and sound, students develop competences in non-linear editing, rhythm, continuity, synchronisation, colour correction and project finishing. Using professional editing software, they apply post-production techniques in practical exercises and projects, consolidating knowledge acquired in other curricular units while developing a creative, critical and technically rigorous approach to audiovisual production.

MetodologiaMethodologyThe curricular unit adopts a theoretical-practical approach, emphasising active learning and project-based learning methodologies. Fundamental concepts of video editing and audiovisual post-production are introduced through demonstrations, case studies and the critical analysis of audiovisual sequences, before being applied in individual and collaborative practical exercises. Students develop editing projects using professional non-linear editing software, exploring different narrative, technical and aesthetic solutions. Learning is supported through continuous supervision, formative feedback and critical reflection on editing and post-production decisions.
