Mobility
Mobility for education and training
Applications for the Teaching Mobility Programme must be submitted by the application deadlines stipulated each year to the relevant departments at each institution.
Erasmus +
The ERASMUS+ Programme is the largest teaching mobility programme in the world. Promoted by the European Union and managed in Portugal by the ERASMUS+ National Agency, its main objectives for teacher mobility are:
- To establish and strengthen relations between Higher Education Institutions in the different participating countries;
- Contribute to the sharing of knowledge and experiences in teaching methodologies;
- To provide participating teachers with an opportunity for personal and professional development.
Who can apply?
All teachers who meet the following conditions can take part in the ERASMUS+ Programme:
- Be a national of a Member State of the European Union or another eligible country, or officially recognised by Portugal as a refugee, stateless person or permanent resident;
- Have a contractual link with ISLA – Polytechnic University of Management and Technology;
- Undertake the teaching assignment at a partner university of ISLA – Polytechnic University of Management and Technology.
How can you apply?
STA (Staff Teaching Assignment) mobilities for teaching staff suggest that they are in line with the institution's internationalisation policies. A favourable assessment within the dynamics of the institution suggests that there is an inter-institutional agreement for teaching in the teacher's area with the partner institution, i.e. for STA (Staff Teaching Assignment) mobilities (at least 8 hours of teaching).
Once an agreement has been reached, the Lecturer must access the Collaborator Portal and fill in the form under the option for Inserting requests within the scope of Internationalisation (Out).
Mobility eligibility is the responsibility of the Institution or Services in conjunction with the Institutional Relations and Mobility Office of ISLA – Polytechnic University of Management and Technology.
When can you take part and apply?
Without prejudice to accepting applications on an ongoing basis, there will be two selection stages:
- For mobility in the 1st Semester: applications received by 30 June, with results to be announced by 31 July;
- For mobility in the 2nd Semester: applications received by 3rd November, with results to be announced by 31st December.
