The recent tragedy involving the Elevador da Glória in Lisbon raises serious questions about the safety and future of Portugal’s historic tourist attractions.
Our lecturer Ricardo Lanção, Professor of Tourism Management at ISLA Gaia, was invited by CNN to take part in a round-table discussion to analyse the impact of this incident on the tourism sector, emphasising that this event “will affect the city of Lisbon and not only in terms of tourist attractions of this nature.” The participation of our lecturers in national debates reinforces ISLA Gaia’s role as a leading institution in the analysis of current and relevant issues for society and tourism in Portugal.
