As part of the Eco-Schools Project at ISLA, students, teachers, and staff embarked on an inspiring, creative, and sustainable journey, giving new life to recycled materials through high-relief plastic art creations.
The activity featured the presence of Professor Ana Susete from the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, invited by Professor Ricardo Lanção, coordinator of the Eco-Schools project at the institution.
A native of Trás-os-Montes, Ana Susete has long explored the plasticity of materials and is the founder of the sustainable jewelry brand Larumbysuzete. Throughout the workshop, Professor Susete shared her extensive experience in the field of artistic sustainability, guiding participants in transforming waste into objects of strong aesthetic value and powerful messages about environmental preservation.
This learning moment reinforced the importance of creativity combined with ecological awareness, showing that environmental education can be approached with both depth and beauty through artistic expression. A greener future begins with small, meaningful actions.
ISLA remains committed to cultivating sustainable values and transformative educational practices, both inside and outside the classroom.
