On 22 March, ISLA Gaia took part in the
Gaia Half Marathon – Atlantic Run, whilst also acting as an official partner of the event.
The institution was represented by the ISLA Gaia Runners group, comprising teaching staff, non-teaching staff, students, family members and friends, in a moment of strong engagement from the academic community.
This participation reinforces the institution’s connection to the local area and to initiatives that promote active lifestyles, as well as its contribution to the promotion of events with a social and community impact. Throughout the race, the group demonstrated team spirit, commitment and camaraderie, values aligned with ISLA Gaia’s institutional mission. Participation as an official partner allowed students to experience first-hand the dynamics of a large-scale sporting event, developing practical skills in a real-world context.
