In recent years, we have witnessed an increase in digital transformation that has driven growth and innovation in various sectors of society. However, it has also brought with it a significant increase in cyber risks and threats.
On the other hand, this growing dependence on digital technologies for all daily activities, whether public or private, has significantly expanded the surface area for cyber attacks.
The Higher Professional Technical Course (CTeSP) in Cybersecurity aims to provide graduates with solid training to develop any role related to: Planning, Designing, Implementing, and Administering network infrastructures, systems, and services, with a focus on security and with skills in diagnosis, prevention, monitoring, and response to cyber incidents./p>

Condições de IngressoAccess Conditions
- Holders of the 12th grade or legally equivalent qualification;
- Holders of CETs, holders of CTeSP or higher education degree;
- Over 23 years old - those who have passed the tests especially suitable to assess the ability to attend higher education.
In addition, applicants must pass one of the following Relevant Areas:

ObjectivosObjectives
The CTeSP in Cybersecurity has the following main objectives:
- Plan, install, and configure IT and network systems and equipment
- Manage communication networks, systems, services, and servers in a secure, efficient, and reliable manner
- Plan and design database systems according to requirements
- Develop and implement software applications following best practices and considering various security attributes
- Conduct internal security audits in compliance with standards and regulations
- Produce a risk analysis in the field of cybersecurity
- Test various security analysis techniques to ensure the identification and mitigation of cybersecurity threats
- Analyze and interpret logs to detect intrusion attempts, vulnerabilities, or security breaches
- Test and validate the security of IT systems and applications

CompetênciasCompetences
The CTeSP in Cybersecurity provides the following skills:
- Prepare, install, and configure Windows and Linux servers and services
- Identify and interpret system indicators and behaviors that allow the detection of security threats
- Use tools designed to manage existing vulnerabilities and ensure cybersecurity and cyberdefense of networks and systems
- Define and apply security policies (active and passive)
- Apply techniques for mitigation and recovery of vulnerabilities and incidents
- Apply techniques for installation, configuration, and administration of equipment in a computer network
- Produce and present technical reports in both written and oral form, in Portuguese and English
- Interpret requirements in order to propose database solutions
- Apply techniques from different system programming languages (functional and object-oriented)

Estudos FuturosFuture Studies
The study plan of the CTeSP in Cybersecurity at ISLA comprises 120 ECTS. The foundational training components included in the course provide the technical and scientific knowledge necessary for the continuation of studies through enrollment in a first-cycle degree (i.e., Bachelor's) in multiple scientific areas.
Graduates may benefit from a set of credited curricular units (equivalencies) in the first-cycle degree. Examples of related first-cycle degrees offered by ISLA include:
- Computer Engineering;
- Information Technology for E-Commerce;
- Multimedia.
