On 24 April at 10.00 am, a workshop will be held on the importance of addressing sustainability in higher education.
This workshop will discuss the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Strategy & Policy Statement 2021-2026 and in the operational policy implementation lines of a Higher Education Institution (HEI) will be discussed. These HEI become more adaptable, innovative and socially engaged, resulting in greater impact and a stronger global position in the face of today’s rapid changes.
To accommodate this transition project, ISLA Gaia initiated a strategic co-creation with CIFAL Flanders, a United Nations (UNITAR)-affiliated centre of expertise on the SDGs. Dirk Franco, a sustainability expert, will lead a workshop focusing on the Multi-Level Perspective (MLP), a powerful tool for understanding transition processes. He will also present the case study of PXL, a HEI that has been awarded the SDG Champion label (2023) and is now working towards the SDG Ambassador label.
