The course aims to train higher technical professionals in Accounting and Management. The objective is to prepare participants to take responsibility for accounting, financial, administrative, tax, and management activities, both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams. These skills are essential to ensure the effective operation and sustainability of business entities or organizations in the public and private sectors. This program is designed to equip future professionals with the necessary tools to face contemporary market challenges, promoting practical learning aligned with current demands.

• Holders of the 12th grade or legally equivalent qualification;
• Holders of CETs, CTeSP, or higher education degrees;
• Applicants over 23 years old who have passed exams specifically designed to assess their capacity for higher education enrollment.

Additionally, candidates must have passed two of the following Relevant Areas:

• Mathematics
• Portuguese
• Economics

• Students with Secondary Education;
• Students through the access regime for those over 23 years old;
• Students with a CET diploma (Technological Specialization Course);
• Students with Higher Education diplomas (professional retraining);

The objectives of the CTeSP in Accounting and Management can be summarized as follows:

• Equip students with solid and up-to-date knowledge in accounting, finance, management, taxation, and administration, enabling a comprehensive understanding of business processes.
• Foster teamwork and effective communication skills, essential for integration into multidisciplinary professional contexts, promoting collaboration and leadership.
• Encourage the application of knowledge in real contexts through internships, practical projects, and simulations, for a better understanding of market and organizational dynamics.
• Promote adaptability and continuous learning, preparing students to stay updated with the constant evolutions of the sector through the development of critical thinking and innovation.
• Qualify students to respond to the challenges of globalization by understanding international trends in accounting and management and their applicability in the local context.

• Proficiency in understanding and applying tax legislation, optimizing companies' tax burden and ensuring legal compliance.

The curriculum of the CTeSP course in Accounting and Management at ISLA consists of 120 ECTS. The foundational training components included in the course will provide the technical and scientific knowledge necessary for continuing studies through enrollment in a 1st cycle degree program (i.e., Bachelor's degree) in multiple scientific areas.

Graduates may benefit from a set of credit transfers (equivalences) for curricular units in the 1st cycle degree. Examples of 1st cycle degree programs at ISLA Gaia in related areas include:
