    The curriculum of the CTeSP in Networks and Computer Systems at ISLA consists of 120 ECTS. The foundational training components included in the course (notably in the area of computer networks) provide the technical and scientific knowledge necessary for continuing studies through enrollment in a first-cycle degree program (i.e., Bachelor's degree) in multiple scientific fields.

    Graduates may benefit from a set of credit transfers (exemptions) for curricular units in the first-cycle degree programs. Examples of related first-cycle courses at ISLA include:

    • Computer Engineering;
    • Computer Science for E-commerce;
    • Multimedia.
  • ObservaçõesObservations

    The training system of the Professional Higher Technical Courses should encourage and promote flexibility, self-determination and responsibility on the part of the students, in accordance with the Bologna Declaration. The course is developed on the basis of 120 ECTS, with a normal duration of 4 curricular semesters, which corresponds to 30 ECTS per semester, with the last semester being practical training in a work context (Internship). The organization of the curricular units (UC) discriminates between contact hours and autonomous work hours (out of class) for 15 weeks. The workload is based on 1 ECTS = 25 hours of work, divided between autonomous work and contact hours. For example, a UC with 5 ECTS corresponds to 125h, if it has 60h of contact, the other 65h are autonomous work. The fundamental area of the course, 481 - Computer Sciences, accounts for the majority of the ECTS, 78 ECTS, which corresponds to 65% of the ECTS, with the aim of enhancing training aimed at the exercise of a professional activity, ensuring that students apply the knowledge and know-how acquired to the concrete activities of their professional profile. The basic training components included will provide students with the technical and scientific knowledge they need to continue their studies. The course includes in its curriculum the three preparation courses for the CCNA certification - Cisco Certified Network Associate.
