    The Higher Professional Technical Course (CTeSP) aims to train higher-level professionals in Administrative Human Resources Management who, either independently or under supervision, perform key administrative tasks required throughout the human resources management cycle (from recruitment to training and performance evaluation). They carry out technical processes related to hiring and negotiation, implement team management procedures, and promote best practices in interpersonal relationships.

    • Holders of a 12th-grade diploma or legally equivalent qualification;
    • Holders of CETs, CTeSPs, or a higher education degree;
    • Over 23 years old those who have passed the specially designed exams to assess their ability to attend higher education.

    In addition, candidates must have passed two of the following Relevant Subjects:

    • Mathematics
    • Portuguese
    • Economics

    • Promote the integration of knowledge, fostering in students a holistic view of people management, its various processes, and its interconnection with other management areas;
    • Encourage teamwork and effective communication skills, essential for integration into multidisciplinary professional contexts, promoting collaboration and leadership;
    • Prepare students for autonomous and responsible performance, developing planning and time management skills;
    • Encourage the application of knowledge in real contexts through internships, practical projects, and simulations, for a better understanding of organizational dynamics.

    The objectives of the CTeSP in Administrative Management of Human Resources include:

    • Ability to identify the best strategic options in different contexts to ensure integrated human resources management;
    • Ability to plan and operationalize various human resources management processes, namely recruitment and selection, skills evaluation and management, onboarding and integration of employees, performance appraisal, training management, among others;
    • Design and manage methodologies inherent to the Quality standardization process in HR;
    • Effective use of databases and software supporting human resources management, including payroll processing, vacation scheduling, attendance tracking, etc.;
    • Ability to work effectively in teams, demonstrating leadership skills, ensuring levels of responsibility and employee motivation, and contributing to a collaborative environment;
    • Ability to collect and analyze data related to different organizational indicators, using the information in the decision-making process;
    • Critical thinking, adaptability, and flexibility to new situations;
    • Ability to communicate assertively with different organizational stakeholders;
    • Emotional management skills, demonstrating emotional stability and stress resilience;
    • Ability to promote change and innovation;
    • Understanding communication processes and developing internal and external communication plans.

    The curriculum of the CTeSP in Administrative Management of Human Resources at ISLA comprises 120 ECTS. The foundational training components included in the course provide the technical and scientific knowledge necessary for continuing studies through enrollment in a first-cycle degree program (i.e., Bachelor's degree) in multiple scientific areas.

    Graduates may benefit from a set of curricular unit recognitions (credit transfers) in the first-cycle degree program. Examples of related first-cycle degree programs at ISLA include:

    • Human Resources Management;
    • Tourism Management.

    The course lasts 2 years (4 semesters) / 120 ECTS. Successful completion of the CTeSP in Administrative Management of Human Resources confers a level V professional aptitude certificate, recognized at European level, and a Diploma in Higher Professional Technician, creditable for the purposes of pursuing higher studies at ISLA Gaia.
